To whom who maybe considering buying a second hand vehicle but hesitate for fear of dealing with “used car sale people”.
Recently, after a life time of sometimes unpleasant experience in buying and selling various cars, I found myself in a situation of being asset rich, cash poor wanting to buy a good low km luxury car.
In the search for the “ right vehicle” I did all the normal things, Carsales, Facebook, Carsguide etc. trying to deal with private sellers and carsales people just wanting to buy a good car. Suffice to say I contacted two private sellers to find out after a check that their cars were repairable write offs, and another fellow who was very “strange” to say the least. The car salesman I spoke to treated me like I was stupid, and they were doing me a favour calling me back ?
Not so with Brendon and David at Butler vehicles. I found the car on the web, sent the inquiry late one night and Brendon politely contacted me first thing to touch base with a no pressure informative call back telling me about the excellent one owner vehicle on which I had inquired. I also received an email from David, the dealer principle offering his assistance.
I did not view the vehicle as it was a 5 hour round trip to do so, but David and Brendon were most helpful and encouraging when I suggested getting an independent review. Let me tell you, the mechanic raved over the car as he did the overall quality of the vehicles in the dealership inventory. He also commented positively with regard to David as the dealer principal, saying that he seemed truely genuine, and down to earth.
After a short negotiation , we reached a great, nothing too much trouble, deal, and it was agreed for a 1/2 way meet to collect the vehicle so we did not have to negotiate city traffic. No extra cost.
The vehicle these guys delivered was superb, a true credit to the previous owner with a service history to die for. I am proud to drive it. If I told you I recently brought it new, I would be surprised if you doubted me aside from a couple of minor wheel scuffs.
I am very suspicious by nature after a near life time of police service, and I don’t give a good recommendation lightly. But herewith is my true full resume of my dealings.

It was Mr White’s probing of my next vehicle, which highlighted the fact Mr Mr HYWOOD could assist me because of his wide and established network across the country.
After some initial inquiries, I received photographs and the km on a 2018, Ford Mustang 2018 that evening. Making the decision to remove my deposit with another dealership that were not as forthcoming as Wayne Phillis Ford gave me confidence to terminate my deposit with a Victorian Ford Dealership and see what happens with Mr HYWOOD.
About a day later I was dealing with Renee from Wayne Phillis Ford, again professional conduct, but good interpersonal skills and a genuine feeling she wanted to help. Excellent follow up calls despite being quite busy or through emails giving clear expectations and timings.
And finally, Mr White who again was impressionable, helpful and highly professional. Extremely helpful and forward thinking in getting around logistical problems that pop up. A pleasure to deal with. Due to my dealings with Mr White, I have taken his advice and have booked my vehicle into APC auto centre for modifications.
Again, a little acknowledgement on such a great team, who I would recommend to friends and family.

I am emailing to compliment your staff. My husband, Ray, and I brought a Mitsubishi Triton from your dealership this week. From the first phone call to Patrick, to meeting Brendon who assisted us when we came to look at the car on Saturday, the service we received has been excellent. “If I could describe the service that David and his team at Butler Vehicles provided in one word, it would be AWESOME. I have never met a salesman that cared more about the customer then actually making a sale. I live approximately 8-9 hours away from Richmond and so I was unable to inspect the car. Not only was I given a detailed description of the vehicle but I was sent a letter advising myself that if the vehicle was not as described that I would receive 100% refund and would be reimbursed of freighting costs. I also received 3 months of factory warranty, 3 months of dealership warranty, PLUS an extended 12mths dealership warranty.
